Long Beach Air Conditioning, Heating & Plumbing Services
If your Long Beach water heater or AC keeps letting you down, NEXGEN is the team that stops the guessing and fixes what's actually wrong. We service the whole city, and we've learned that what's wrong with a home in California Heights — where a lot of houses date back to the 1920s and 30s — is rarely what's wrong with a newer place near the marina. Add in a water supply that's part local groundwater and part imported through Long Beach Water, with hardness that shifts depending on which side of the city you're on, and it's easy to see why a one-size quote doesn't work here. We check your home's age and your specific water zone before we recommend anything.
Stop guessing why your Long Beach water heater or AC keeps failing. Call NEXGEN at (820) 200-1614 for a free water zone check and estimate — we're available 24/7 for emergencies.
Air Conditioning & Heating in Long Beach
The marine layer keeps Long Beach summers milder than most of Southern California, but that's exactly why a struggling AC unit here often gets ignored until it fails completely — homeowners assume the coastal breeze is doing the work, right up until a heat spell proves otherwise. If your home is one of the older Craftsman bungalows in Rose Park or California Heights, there's a good chance the ductwork has never been updated, and that's usually the real reason a system runs constantly without actually cooling the house. We check the ductwork, not just the unit, so a repair actually solves the problem.
Plumbing in Long Beach
A lot of Long Beach's older housing stock — especially in neighborhoods like Willmore City and California Heights — is still running on galvanized or cast iron pipe that was never meant to last this long, and Long Beach Water's blend of local groundwater and imported supply means hardness varies block to block. That combination is exactly why the same fixture or water heater problem keeps coming back in some homes and not others. We test your specific water zone and check pipe material before recommending a repair, so you're not paying to patch a symptom.

Can't Say Enough Good Things
“My thermostat took a dive on me so I went to replace it. That's where I met Breanna at Home Depot she advised me on the Ecobee one and normally I don't use big companies because of cost is always higher since they have higher overhead. However, at $49 for a diagnostic they sent someone out and that's when things got even better Lazaro was our technician. He was trustworthy and communicative and effective at explaining to me and my wife what he's doing to our unit and why. In the end because of his demeanor and character I chose to get work done through his company. I got an ionizer placed and he patched a few areas where air was escaping. Cleaned condenser and added a second capacitor and cleaned the fan on inside of my house as well as checked the coils which were fine. In summary the company is trustworthy or at least my experience was good. At at a $49 diagnostic fee it was worth it to have someone come out and let me know where I'm at. Can't say enough though about Lazaro he sold me on trusting next gen so if everyone is like him you'll find value.”- S.S. -
Trustworthy Team
“My technician Joseph was a solid and upstanding dude. He took his time doing an inspection of my old hvac system. He let me hover over him and helped educate me on the different components of the furnace and AC units. He didn’t tell me what I wanted to hear, but he told me what I needed to hear. Would trust him and his team to do my maintenance and future installs for my home.”- Andrew W. -
Great Service!
“My AC stopped working and gave me a power failure message. Ryan was dispatched as the technician to assist. He was great, he quickly diagnosed the issues (fuses and capacitors). He gave me practical solutions and was great to work with. If I have issues in the future I will be asking for him specifically.”- Roger D. -
