Ventura County HVAC & Plumbing Services by NEXGEN
Comfort and plumbing solutions built around the specific conditions Ventura County homes actually deal with, backed by our Newbury Park team.
A home in Ventura County rarely fails for the reason a homeowner assumes. Salt-laden ocean air quietly corrodes outdoor condenser coils and electrical contacts years before a unit's rated lifespan is up. Santa Ana wind events can trigger utility power shutoffs in high fire-risk areas, stopping a furnace or AC that has nothing mechanically wrong with it. Expansive clay soil under much of the Conejo and Simi valleys shifts with the seasons and stresses buried plumbing lines in ways a stable-soil market never sees. None of these show up on a spec sheet, but they're the actual reasons NEXGEN gets called out across Ventura County, and they're built into how our Newbury Park team diagnoses and recommends from the first visit.
Three Things Working Against Your Home Here
- Salt air and marine moisture. Along the coast, in Ventura, Oxnard, and Camarillo, airborne salt accelerates corrosion on outdoor HVAC equipment and exposed metal plumbing fixtures well beyond what a dry inland climate would cause, and persistent humidity can make a home feel uncomfortable even at mild temperatures.
- Wind-driven power risk. Much of inland Ventura County sits in a high fire-risk zone, and Santa Ana wind events regularly trigger utility power shutoffs as a wildfire precaution. Since HVAC systems, including gas furnaces, need electricity to run their blower and controls, a shutoff can leave a home without heat or cooling even when the equipment itself is fine.
- Clay soil and hard water. The inland Conejo and Simi valleys sit largely on expansive clay soil that swells and shrinks seasonally, a real contributor to slab leaks and shifted plumbing fittings. Water hardness varies by source across the county too, generally hard to very hard, which speeds up scale buildup in water heaters regardless of which side of the county you're on.
HVAC Services We Provide in Ventura County
- AC Installation & Replacement. Load-calculated sizing that accounts for coastal marine layer moisture or inland heat and wind exposure, not a single countywide assumption.
- AC Repair. Diagnosis for warm air, short cycling, or a system that can't keep up, including corrosion-related failures common near the coast.
- AC & Heating Maintenance. Seasonal tune-ups timed ahead of peak inland heat and before wildfire season loads filters faster than a normal maintenance schedule assumes.
- Heating Repair, Installation & Replacement. Furnace and heat pump service, including dual-fuel options for inland homes with real winter heating needs.
- Indoor Air Quality & Duct Sealing. Filtration upgrades for wildfire smoke season and duct sealing for older homes, especially valuable inland where ducts often run through hot, uninsulated attics.
Plumbing Services We Provide in Ventura County
- Leak Detection & Repair. Diagnosis for leaks tied to clay soil movement inland and salt-air corrosion on exposed fixtures near the coast.
- Water Heater Repair, Maintenance & Installation. Service built around the county's generally hard water, since groundwater-sourced areas tend to run harder than surface-fed supplies.
- Pipe Repair & Replacement. Repair for fittings under stress from seasonal ground movement or coastal corrosion, depending on where you are in the county.
- Drain & Sewer Service. Clearing and camera inspection for slow or backed-up drains.
- Gas Line Service. Installation and repair for gas lines feeding furnaces, water heaters, and other appliances.
Why Ventura County Homeowners Choose NEXGEN
- Local dispatch from our Newbury Park team at 3615 Old Conejo Rd, so calls across Ventura County reach a team working in the area, not one dispatched in from Orange County or the Inland Empire.
- We diagnose for the actual cause, corrosion, wind-driven power loss, or ground movement, instead of defaulting to the most common repair.
- One team for HVAC and plumbing, so a water heater or leak issue tied to a comfort question doesn't mean finding a second contractor.
A written estimate comes before any work starts, covering the diagnosis and the fix so there are no changes mid-job.

“NEXTGEN repaired my HVAC system which had an intermittent heating problem on a timely basis and it was covered under warranty. The technician was very polite an professional.”- Mark R. -
Can't Say Enough Good Things
“My thermostat took a dive on me so I went to replace it. That's where I met Breanna at Home Depot she advised me on the Ecobee one and normally I don't use big companies because of cost is always higher since they have higher overhead. However, at $49 for a diagnostic they sent someone out and that's when things got even better Lazaro was our technician. He was trustworthy and communicative and effective at explaining to me and my wife what he's doing to our unit and why. In the end because of his demeanor and character I chose to get work done through his company. I got an ionizer placed and he patched a few areas where air was escaping. Cleaned condenser and added a second capacitor and cleaned the fan on inside of my house as well as checked the coils which were fine. In summary the company is trustworthy or at least my experience was good. At at a $49 diagnostic fee it was worth it to have someone come out and let me know where I'm at. Can't say enough though about Lazaro he sold me on trusting next gen so if everyone is like him you'll find value.”- S.S. -
Trustworthy Team
“My technician Joseph was a solid and upstanding dude. He took his time doing an inspection of my old hvac system. He let me hover over him and helped educate me on the different components of the furnace and AC units. He didn’t tell me what I wanted to hear, but he told me what I needed to hear. Would trust him and his team to do my maintenance and future installs for my home.”- Andrew W. -
Great Service!
“My AC stopped working and gave me a power failure message. Ryan was dispatched as the technician to assist. He was great, he quickly diagnosed the issues (fuses and capacitors). He gave me practical solutions and was great to work with. If I have issues in the future I will be asking for him specifically.”- Roger D. -

He was clean, respectful of our space, and very thorough in his work. You can tell he takes pride in what he does. He went above and beyond, and his kindness and professionalism did not go unnoticed. Highly recommend.”- Erika A.
